Hey, I'm Marienne — just Mari.

My journey in design began when I moved to Toronto to study Computer Graphics — what we now call Graphic Design. Despite the cold weather, I immediately fell in love with the creative process and knew this was what I wanted to pursue as both a career and a lifelong passion.

Professionally, I started at 18 as an Art Assistant crafting ads for magazines at a publishing house. Over 12 years, I advanced to Graphic Designer and eventually Senior Art Director. I led creative teams and shaped the visual identity of niche publications in beauty, bridal, plastic surgery, and architecture/design — feminine publications became my area of expertise. Beyond layouts, I bridged editorial vision with sales goals, ensuring each magazine remained visually iconic, fresh, and aligned with its audience.

As the industry shifted, so did I. I launched those magazines' first websites and discovered a deep passion for digital design. For over a decade now, I've brought that expertise to the jewelry sector — designing every visual element for Neriah Jewelry's e-commerce platform, from collection styling and photoshoots to digital campaigns and social media assets. Alongside this, I continue to take on freelance projects across industries, keeping my skills sharp across both print and digital media.

My commitment to design is lifelong and ever-evolving. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising & Marketing, a Master's in Design, and am currently pursuing a second Master's in Design Management. I've also completed a Graphic Design summer bootcamp at NYU, further expanding my creative toolkit.
